 NOTICE TO BID – TWO (2) 1 TON 4WD PICK-UP TRUCKS and ONE (1) CARGO VAN.

 

Notice is hereby given that Sweetwater County School District No. 1 of Rock Springs, Wyoming, is accepting sealed bids for replacement of three (3) Facilities Department vehicles. 

 

Sweetwater County School District No. 1 intends to acquire (2) 1-ton 4WD pick-up trucks, and (1) cargo van.

The required paperwork, that includes the Vehicle Specification Requirements, a Bid Signature Form, a Bid Sheet Form and Term and Conditions, may be obtained at the School District Transportation Office, 3600 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs, WY 82901 or on the District website at sweetwater1.org.

All proposals should contain separate costs for each of the two (2) types of vehicles; pick-up truck and cargo van.

All proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Sweetwater County School District No. 1, Transportation Department, 3600 Foothill Blvd, Rock Springs, WY 82901. The sealed envelope should be plainly marked “DISTRICT FACILITIES DEPT BIDS 24-25”. Bids will be received until 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2024. At 2:00 pm Wednesday December 18, 2024, all bids will be opened and read. Selection of the successful bids will be made by the Board of Trustees at their board meeting on Monday, January 13, 2025.

The Board of Trustees of Sweetwater County School District No. 1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all regularities. The Board of Trustees will accept the Bids, which in their opinion, are the best bids.

Sealed and written bids, subject to all conditions herein, will be received by Sweetwater County School District No. 1 until 1:00 P.M. MDT Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Please deliver sealed written bids to:

Any bid received after the time and date above will be returned unopened to the sender.

No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the due date and time. Any bidder may withdraw his/her bid personally or by written request at any time before the time set for bid opening.

The hard copy component (Bid Signature Form) must be filled out (in permanent manner) on the forms supplied and completely filled in as requested and must be signed by the person completing the bind in pen or ink. If a unit price or extension already entered by a bidder on the form is to be altered, it should be crossed out with ink, the new unit price or extension entered above or below, and initialed by the bidder, also with ink. An authorized representative and the complete address of the bidder given thereon shall sign the bid.

The information provided in the bid is intended solely for internal use by the bidder in response preparation. All information contained herein is proprietary and shall not be distributed to any third party, except as required by law.

From the issue date of the bid until a bid has been awarded and announced, prospective Bidders, Selection Committee members, employees and students are not allowed to communicate about the subject of the bid or a bidder’s bid.

Any recipient of the bid is responsible for any and all costs incurred by it or others acting on its behalf in preparing or submitting a bid, or otherwise responding to the bid, or any negotiations incidental to its bid.

The following process described is intended to ensure that all prospective Bidders have equal access to information relative to the bid. As part of the bid preparation (which may have included previous discussions with selected prospective Bidders), every effort has been made to provide prospective Bidders with complete disclosure. Each Bidder shall prepare their Bid based only on the information contained in the bid, notwithstanding any information that may have been previously provided. A prospective Bidder noting any inconsistency between the information contained in the bid and any information previously provided should request clarification.

No information communicated, either verbally or in writing, to or from a Bidder shall be effective unless confirmed by written communication contained in the bid, an addendum to the bid, a written request for clarification and the written response thereto, or in the Bid.

Should it become necessary to revise any part of the bid, notice of revision will be given in the form of an addendum to all prospective Bidders on record as having received the bid. Each Bidder must acknowledge receipt of addenda, but the failure of a Bidder to receive or acknowledge receipt of any addendum, shall not relieve the Bidder of the responsibility for complying with the terms thereof. Acknowledgement shall consist, minimally, of returning a signed copy of all addenda cover sheets as part of the Bid by the bid closing date and time. All addenda shall become part of the bid. Acknowledgement of all addenda received must be submitted by the bid closing date and time.

No immediate decision will be rendered. Information received will be confidential until after final decision by the Board of Trustees, except as required by law.

Sweetwater County School District No. 1 will issue a purchase order to the awarded vendor. The purchase order will reference the vendor’s response to this bid, and only the terms specifically addressed in this bid process will become part of the contract.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE OF BID FORMS:

Firm name shall be clearly filled in on the top of every hard copy page on which the bidder is submitting for the bid. All bidders shall bid unit prices for each type of vehicle. Return the completed original of the Bid Signature Form and all associated bid paperwork to Sweetwater County School District No. 1. Every bidder shall cooperate in complying with this request in order to qualify his/her bid for consideration.

The person signing the hard copy Bid Signature Form must initial corrections or erasures in the bid proper. The Bid Signature Form must be completed and signed in longhand by a duly authorized person of the firm submitting the form.

BID GENERAL REQUIRED TERMS:

Bids for used and/or refurbished equipment will not be accepted.

The school district has like tangible personal property to trade for the vehicle sought for purchase. In order to be considered for this bid, the firm must provide a proposed trade-in allowance on the bid sheet for the type of vehicle they wish to bid. These vehicles will be made available for inspection by appointment only. This appointment can be scheduled at the email listed above.

Sweetwater County School District No. 1 reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of the bid submitted. Therefore, the bid should be submitted on the most favorable terms of price.

The Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids and to waive any irregularities. The Board of Trustees will accept the bid or bids and award the bid or bids to the firm or firms which in their opinion represent the best bid. This CALL FOR BID does not commit Sweetwater County School District No. 1 to any specific course of action. Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids not withdrawn before the opening date and to waive any irregularity or informality in the Bid process. Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees reserves the right to conduct discussions, request additional information and accept revisions of Bids from any or all Bidders. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after opening date. Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees reserves the right to make such investigations as deemed prudent to determine Bidder’s qualifications and eligibility, including but not limited to, contacting other customers for references and conducting on-site visitations to other customers to observe equipment in use, requests for financial statements and company profiles.

Proposed pricing for required equipment must include all requirements outlined on the Bid Sheet.

Any decision made by Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees shall be final.

Bid prices are to be held firm for 24 months from date of submission.

Bids are based on a truck or van delivered price to Rock Springs, Wyoming with bidder assuming all responsibility in making necessary adjustments with fright companies or in replacing all vehicles damaged in transit to the satisfaction of Sweetwater County School District No. 1.

Prices bid should not include exempt taxes.

Notice is hereby given that Sweetwater County School District No. 1 of Rock Springs, Wyoming, is accepting sealed bids for replacement of a Transportation Shop Truck. 

Sweetwater County School District No. 1 intends to acquire (1) 2.0-ton shop truck for the Transportation Department. 

All paperwork, to include specifications, bid signature form, bid sheets, and terms and conditions may be obtained at the School District Transportation Office, 3600 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs, WY 82901, by mail, by telephoning (307) 352-3494 x1501, or by visiting the District website at sweewater1.org.

One (1) Surplus District School Bus

Notice is hereby given that Sweetwater County School District No. 1 of Rock Springs, Wyoming, is accepting sealed bids for one (1) surplus District school bus. 

Bid Forms and Terms and Conditions may be obtained on the Sweetwater County School District #1 website at sweetwater1.org.

Bid does not include a minimum bid. The bus runs, however, the engine needs to be replaced. Bus is sold AS IS with NO guarantee.

All bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Joe Clingenpeel, Director of Transportation, Sweetwater County School District No. 1, Transportation Department, 3600 Foothill Blvd, Rock Springs, WY 82901 or P.O. Box 1089, Rock Springs, WY 82902. The sealed envelope should be plainly marked “SURPLUS DISTRCT SCHOOL BUS 10 BID 2022”. Bids will be received until 2:00 pm, Friday, September 2, 2022 at which time all bids will be opened and read. The winning bidder will be notified by phone after acceptance of the bid by the Board of Trustees at their September 12, 2022 meeting.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bidding.

  1. A description of the one school bus is as follows: 2009, Type C, 66 passenger diesel school bus, approximately 122,000 miles. This bus runs, however, it does need to have the engine replaced.
  2. Any bid received after the time and date above will be returned unopened to the sender.
  3. The hard copy BID SHEET must be filled out (in permanent manner) on the form supplied and completely filled in as requested and must be signed by the person completing the bid in pen or ink. If a unit price or extension already entered by a bidder on the form is to be altered, it should be crossed out with ink, the new unit price or extension entered above or below, and initialed by the bidder, also with ink. An authorized representative and the complete address of the bidder given thereon shall sign the bid.
  4. The information provided in the bid is intended solely for internal use by the bidder in response preparation. All information contained herein is proprietary and shall not be distributed to any third party, except as required by law.
  5. From the issue date of the bid until a bid has been awarded and announced, prospective Bidders, Board Members or Sweetwater County School District #1 employees are not allowed to communicate about the subject of the bid or a bidder’s bid.
  6. Any recipient of the bid is responsible for any and all costs incurred by it or others acting on its behalf in preparing or submitting a bid, or otherwise responding to the bid, or any negotiations incidental to its bid.
  7. The following process described is intended to ensure that all prospective Bidders have equal access to information relative to the bid. 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR Notice is hereby given that Sweetwater County School District No. 1 of Rock Springs, Wyoming ("the School District") is soliciting Requests for Proposals for the pmpose of establishing a list of qualified vendors to supply various sizes and brands of bus tires to our transportation facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming for the period September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023.

Contact with qualified vendors for pricing, purchasing, and delivery of tires will be made on an as needed basis.

The School Bus Tire Proposal Form and General Specifications may be obtained at the chool District's Trnnsportation Department, 3600 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs, Wyoming, 82902-1089 or the School District's Busine s Office, 3550 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs, Wyoming, 82902-1089. 1. All proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "2022-2023 School Bus Tire Proposal" to the School District1s Transportation Department, 3600 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs, Wyoming, 82902-1089, by 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The Proposal must include the The School District School Bus Tire Proposal Form. At that time all proposals will be opened and read. The acceptance of the qualified vendor list will be made by the Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on Monday, September 12, 2022.
 
2. Listed below are the sizes and make used by the Sweetwater County School District #1 Transportation Department:
 
Class C and D Buses - Steer and Drive Tires 11R22.5 - No less than 14 ply Michelin and Goodyear

3. Prices will be requested on an as needed basis and should exclude State excise and Federal taxes. The price should also include shipping, mounting, and balancing of the tires.
 
4. Proposals must include the necessary exemption certificates in lieu of State and Federal Taxes. These certificates will be signed by a represenative of the School District and returned.
 
5. The School District will approve the vendors which in their opinion best meet the needs of the School District.
 
6. As tires are needed, all qualified vendors will be contacted. At that time, prices, availiblity of tires, and delivery schedule will be noted. Tires will be purchased from the qualified vendor that best meets the need of the School District. 
 
7. This qualified vendor list will remain in effect through August 31, 2023, unless the vendor fails to deliver upon receipt of a reasonable request from the buyer within the allotted time, not to exceed seven (7) days from the date of notice.
 
8. Billing for all deliveries must be submitted within 30 days of delivery on an invoice clearly showing date of service, amount and type of product delivered, price of product, and vendor name.

Bids WILL include a minimum bid for each vehicle. Bids may include a bid for one, two or all three vehicles.

What year is the two post lift?  Are pics available as well?

Reply:
I am not certain of the age; when I contacted the company who sold it to us, they advised that they do remember selling it to us, however, their records only go back 20 years. So the lift is at least 21 years old. It is, however, in very good shape. I would give it an 8 out of 10.

Replacement vehicles for Head Start, Facilities, Nutrition Services, and District Fleet

The deadline for the bid submission for the 2020-2021 District fleet vehicle bid has been extended to Friday, September 4, 2020 to accommodate arrival dates of the new 2021 vehicle pricing lists. The bids will be submitted to the board on Monday, September 14, 2020.
