Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

At SWSD#1, we encompass a philosophy of teaching and learning that transcends textbooks and prioritizes The Wyoming State Content and Performance Standards. We strengthen support for communities of teachers to facilitate teaching and learning in our classrooms and improve student achievement.

With the use of BT, all schools focus on a common philosophy or direction and implementation of structured systems and learning frameworks that revolve around instructional improvement, student assessments, and multi-level interventions.

Sweetwater County School District #1 Instructional Framework

An instructional framework is a shared and coherent belief system, mission, and understanding of a set of instructional principles, based on inquiry, and their visible implementation within and across classrooms to which all members of the school community are committed and accountable.  The Community Curriculum Council (CCC) recently reviewed and updated the Instructional Framework. Please click on the links to view documents that structure and communicate our shared beliefs.
